Visiting Jay is like going to see a great friend! You can tell how loved he is when each client comes in and feels the same way. It’s not a chore to get your scheduled haircut, you can actually relax and have a nice time with each conversation being accompanied by an adorable furry friend (legally allowed!). I schedule my days off to go with my partner for every single one of his haircuts to enjoy his company. The salon is incredibly clean and welcoming. I cannot recommend him enough!

What to say about Jay? It’s quite simple - Jay is an old school barber that offers incomparable service, meaningful conversations and a cut that few could recreate. I’ve been receiving my cuts from Jay for over ten years (with the exception of one time) and nothing, other than our friendship, has changed. Jay has become much more than a barber for my son and I. It’s a spot we look forward to visit and always leave with a smile. He’s provided me with wisdom and guidance over the years and I’d be hard-pressed to find someone as capable as him to trust with my hair. This place is amazing. Jay has been cutting my hair since 2008. While I no longer live in Ottawa, I will stop in when I am in town just to get that simply awesome haircut. Jay is an excellent barber with years of experience, and doubles as a solid sounding board. If I could give him 6 stars, I would. He’s so good, you need to book in advance as he’s in high demand!

Been going there for years now. Never had a bad hair cut. Been taking my 2 boys to Jay for a number of years. Cuts their hair, gives each of them a different looking cut so they do not have the same look. Jay takes pride in his work and it shows. The conversation and his memory for his clients likes and dislikes amazes me. Jay does a great job on kids with special needs. Highly recommend his services to anyone who needs a hair cut.

Jay is amazing! I brought my toddler here and Jay was incredible. My toddler was in a grumpy mood and fell asleep on my lap when we arrived. Jay was so understanding and wonderful, he cut my son's hair while he was asleep on my lap. Thank you so much. He is such a great hair cutter and I hear he also does at lot of hair cutting for children's with special needs. So grateful we found him. A long wait list but definitely worth the wait!!!
